This set is an adaption of part number 1557, but comes with a pair of removable brackets that slot onto permanently                                                                                                                                                                        fixed  mounting plates. 

This allows the easy installation of a table, shelf, or even a light weight seat to a bulkhead or binnacle.                                                                                                                                                                                                         The unit can then be easily removed and stored below deck when not in use.
